Over the years I have been asked to do some unusual paintings as well as portraits. These paintings have had a meaning/ thought/ love or reason behind them.

As well as being asked to create paintings from ideas that people have come to me with, I also get ideas in dreams and thoughts every so often and decide to paint them. Below are two examples of the more unusual paintings that I have created.

Modern Day America (Left)
This is a painting that a collector of my work ordered from me. He wanted something different and gave me a brief summary of the subjects including 'America today', George Bush', and 'the war with Iraq'. He told me the tones that he wanted to be included then I got to work.

Spiders (Right)
This is a project that I took on titled 'Spiders'. The idea behind it was looking at a spider's nest, as soon as a twig hit the nest, all the baby spiders ran in different directions, it made an impact on me so I decided to paint my take on it. I used drizzled thick paint behind the spider's faces to create the web. This gave a good effect as the thick paint has a high gloss so in some lights, it looks almost like a mirror.
